Our Story

The Ability Challenge launched in 2018 to transform the experience of students with disabilities. At the core of our work is the belief that every child, especially those with learning disabilities and diverse learning needs, can thrive in school. To this end we’re committed to an ambitious vision: 1 million more students with disabilities on track to graduate and take on the world by 2045.

Meet Our Team

Our team of seasoned education professionals and researchers flip traditional approaches on their head to address widespread deficiencies in special education. ABC’s unique, research-proven method involves working with entire school systems to build authentically inclusive school communities, communities in which every member plays a role in fostering the student experience.

Our Partnership

We partner with school districts, charter school networks, and individual schools to provide needs assessments, educator training, leader support, tools and resources, and more. We’ve helped improve the experiences of thousands of students to date, and we’re only just beginning!
