Stacy Nordlinger is the Director of Special Education Recovery Services and Resolution within the Special Education Office at the NYC Department of Education. In her 11 years as an educator in the NYC public schools, Stacy has also served as the Clinical Advisor to the Impartial Hearing Representation Office, Director of Special Education Operations for Alternative Schools and Programs, and as a Lead School Psychologist. Her work is continually focused on ensuring that students with disabilities receive individualized, effective, and equitable instruction and services that are both high quality and compliant. 

Prior to her tenure at the New York City Department of Education, Stacy served in School Psychology, Educational Evaluation and consultancy roles across Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey in both the public and private sectors. Her career in education began at Doane Academy, a small independent school in Burlington, New Jersey, where she served as the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid.

Stacy has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Muhlenberg College, with a major in Economics. She holds an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Rider University and is a New Jersey, New York, and nationally certified School Psychologist. Stacy also studied educational leadership at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and is a New York State certified School Building Leader.

Stacy additionally contributes as a founding member of The Ability Challenge Board of Trustees, a member of the Doane Academy Board of Trustees, and a member of the Mount Sinai Mindich Child Health and Development Institute Leadership Council.
