Monica Jew-Gonzalez
Monica Jew-Gonzalez is a Senior Data Analytics Engineer, devoted mother of two, and lifelong learner who believes deeply in the power of data to create opportunity and change lives. Her connection to this work is rooted in her passion for helping people thrive and her belief that when organizations truly understand their data, they are better positioned to serve their communities with intention, equity, and care.
Over the past 17 years, Monica has built a career centered on using data to support mission-driven organizations, particularly in education. She has a unique ability to take complex, technical information and transform it into meaningful stories that help leaders see both the challenges and the possibilities in front of them. Known for her thoughtful and collaborative approach, Monica designs scalable data solutions, strengthens reporting systems, and creates tools that make information more accessible, reliable, and empowering for the people who rely on it most.
Monica currently supports growth and data strategy initiatives as a Growth & Strategy Associate at the Monique Burr Foundation for Children, where she works to help expand programs that protect and educate children. Prior to this role, she spent 13 years with Teach For America, growing through multiple roles and most recently serving as Director of People Team Reporting. Throughout her journey, she has remained committed to ensuring that data is not just collected, but used thoughtfully to help create stronger outcomes for students, families, and educators.
Outside of her professional work, Monica’s commitment to education and community continues. She volunteers at her children’s schools, mentors first-generation college students, and serves as an Executive Advisor on the KIPP National Association committee. She lives in Houston with her family, where she finds joy in supporting her children’s growth, building meaningful connections in her community, and continuing to learn wherever she can.
