Maria Boyer
Maria Boyer is a senior education executive with extensive experience leading systems and services that respond to learner variability and support students with disabilities. She currently serves as Director of the Student Support Team at Meridian Public Charter School in Washington, DC, where she leads special education, multilingual learner services, and student wellness.
Before joining Meridian, Maria served in senior leadership at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School, first as Senior Director and later as Managing Director of Student Support Services. Her career also includes district-level leadership with Baltimore County Public Schools and Akron Public Schools. Her expertise spans special education and disability services, instructional and organizational leadership, program and systems design, regulatory compliance, and staff development.
Maria holds an Executive Master’s in Leadership, Organizational Business from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Leadership, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Drexel University, Loyola University, and The University of Akron and as an associate editor for the Journal for Special Education Leadership.
